Due to our mailserver being upgraded on Sunday 1st April for increased security, clients may now not be able to send email. This will be due to you not enabling 'SMTP authentication' within your email client software (eg Outlook, Entourgae, MacMail). Once you have enabled 'SMTP authentication', you will be able to connect to the outgoing server again and send email.
We are having a server migration on Thursday 24th November, which will coincide in an upgrade to PHP5.3.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will there be any downtime?
Yes, unfortunately there will. Due to the extent of the move we envisage anywhere from 3 - 6 hours downtime. This will be scheduled to take place between the hours of 10pm to 6am to limit any disruption to you.
Who is doing the move?
The relocation is being performed by a specialist datacentre moving team, making use of specialist vehicles with full insurance cover in place for all equipment. We are extremely confident that this transition will go smoothly.
Will I have to do anything after the move?
Please note that aside from the initial downtime, there will be no change to service and no pre or post relocation tasks required by you. All domains, email accounts, settings, server names, IP addresses and everything else will remain the same.
